北国少女小鹿纯子（荒木由美子 饰）虽然自幼失去了母亲，但她依旧开朗、乐观、精力充沛。从四岁起，纯子就跟着爸爸训练，学习击球。排球成了纯子从小到大生活的一部分，因此纯子最大的愿望就是参加奥运会，完成妈妈的愿望。因一次机会，纯子告别了家乡来到了东京，加入到了白富士学校的女子排球队。在这里，纯子的球技每日剧增，练就了晴空霹雳等绝招，也结识了许多好友。实力强大的纯子进入到了梦寐以求的国家女子排球队，这里汇聚了全国实力最强的女子排球队员，纯子的征战才刚刚开始…… 本剧改编自石森章太郎的同名漫画，在20世纪80年代风靡于日本、中国等地，成为了一代人的记忆。其中小鹿纯子和她的招数至今还被人娓娓道来。
