《乡村爱情17》继续聚焦象牙山村民的生活，特别是几对年轻夫妇面临的婚姻危机。刘能从脑血栓中康复后，村内发生了多起家庭、婚姻和情感的故事；刘英为了帮助洪旭解决经济问题，将花圃转让给顺子，引发了丈夫赵玉田的不满及夫妻间的矛盾；宋晓峰因经营民宿过度劳累与妻子宋青莲产生隔阂；王小蒙与谢永强、白清明与李银萍等夫妇、情侣也面临各自的情感难题。大学生村官杜小双宣布全省"最美家庭"评选活动，激发了村民们的参与热情。刘能成立了"象牙山老丈人联盟"，旨在挽救年轻人岌岌可危的婚姻。不甘示弱的谢广坤则组建对立阵营"谢广坤战队"。尽管双方目标一致，但在实施过程中闹出了不少笑话。
