故事讲述张皓南(甄子丹)，刘传亨(关礼杰)及郑胜(林伟健)本乃好友，其后南、胜考入飞虎队，亨则继承其父之黑帮事业，三人对立，但因感情深厚，遂仍能互相容忍。 亨妹传芳(李婉华)向暗恋南，惜神女有心，襄王无梦，南与女警官利琪琪(杨宝玲)热恋，芳伤心之余，下嫁一直暗恋她之胜。 亨初涉足黑道，遭老叔父玩弄，幸得红颜知己Anita(龚慈恩)支持鼓励，终于排除异己，势力逐渐扩张。 亨终于成为黑道大阿哥，与南决裂，南誓要将亨绳之于法，南姐张五(卢宛茵)、胜、Anita及芳先后惨死，南、亨达到不死不休之地步，展开连场火并......
