世界上最令人著迷的球類運動是「足球」，球員為了追上足球而拼盡全力，球迷則熱烈追捧心愛的球員；所有人的喜怒哀樂全都圍繞住那顆球；在香港的60、70年代，足球發展曾經有段輝煌歷史，球迷入場人次屢創高峰，時至今日，熱情不再。為了喚起香港球迷入場看球的意欲，製作組以成立一隊美女人氣足球隊為目標，期望再次燃起球迷熱情，入場支持香港足球。
