《时间飞船24》是根据1975年的电视动画《时间飞船》为基础进行重制，龙之子工作室负责制作的原创电视动画。[1] 虽然名为重制，实际上世界观、角色等都有了大幅的变动。 主人公时夫是居住在现代东京的初中2年生。某天，他突然被任命为24世纪的组织·时空管理局的队员，并得知了惊人的事实：实际上教科书上记载的历史全部都是虚假，在过去沉睡着比教科书更加有趣的真实历史“真历史”。比如，被称为绝世美女的埃及艳后实际上是名叫克莱夫和帕特拉的相声演员，正义的伙伴桃太郎实际上是比鬼还要像鬼的男人……时夫与队员可怜一同驱使着24台时间飞船前去探索真历史，这24台时间飞船能够通过变身或合体发挥出超常的力量。而阻挡在时夫等人面前的则是时间飞船系列中为人熟知的反派，这一作的反派名叫比玛乔、兹布亚基、铃木，是被世界最大的教科书公司“History Paradise”雇佣来守护遵循教科书的历史的。究竟即将揭晓的历史会是怎样的“真历史”呢？
